I was sent a few samples of Jamberry from the ever awesome Ashley. Now, if you know me, you know that I’m not big on manicures. After years of working in bars, nail polish never stayed on my nails and they were always short and jagged. I eventually gave up. On a few special occasions here and there, I would get a manicure, but it’s just not my thing. However, I was really intrigued by the idea of a nail wrap and Jamberry looked cool. Samples were sent (and then sat for a while because of the holidays) but a few weeks ago I finally made the girls, ages 10 and 12, try them.
Both girls applied the Jamberry Nail Wraps to alternate fingers and then painted the other ones. It was on a Friday afternoon. They were excited. Having been living in Costa Rica for the last four years, this was something new and amazing for them. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to get photos of the 10 year old’s nails, but I did with the 12 year old. Remember, the results you see are after four days, over a weekend and worn by a very active girl.
I think there were two things that they loved: the application and the ability to mix and match.
And, overall, they liked them. By day four, they were peeling a bit, but I think that the 12 year old is rough with her hands. She said that she would use them again and was excited when I told her that you can get custom ones.
I would highly recommend trying out Jamberry Nail Wraps and here are my reasons:
My 5 year old- She loves getting her nails painted, but does not have the patience to wait for them to dry. And they have a kid line!
They are perfect for getting that high-end custom look, without the tedious amount of detail work done at a nail salon.
You can mix and match. This makes it funky and fun!
The ability to have custom ones made is so unique and really adds another element to getting your nails done.
My only advice is that it does take practice to make them perfect. I think that was the issue the girls had with some of them peeling.
I hope you head on over to Ashley’s page and try them out for yourself. Also, contact her if you are interested in hosting an online party. I am and it will be happening Monday, February 2nd – February 9th. Check it out here!
